About Basu’s Photography

Experiencing the world through photography:

Photography has been a lifelong interest for me, with my love of the camera being sparked when I was just a teenager. As a wanderer at heart and a lover of faraway places, travel ignited that spark into a full-fledged passion.

For the past ten years, I’ve traveled the globe, capturing landscapes, vistas, skylines, architecture, street life, and people. Using the photographer’s “language” of lighting, color, composition, scale, and perspective, I create images that tell visual stories about the time and place each photograph was taken.

As a way to share my passion with the world, I’ve made my personal collection of travel photographs available for the first time in high-quality, full-color prints and greeting cards. These offerings are an invitation to join me in appreciating the vast and varied beauty of the world, from the sparkling waters of Yosemite’s Crystal Lake to I.M. Pei’s glittering glass-and-metal pyramid at the Louvre.
